Bearings Supplier Launches Training Academy Bearings, power transmission, electric motors, gear boxes, and chain supplier Rand City Bearings has announced the launch of the Rand City Academy. The academy is located at the company's Wadeville head office and provides training to customers and interested parties on the entire Rand City Bearings product range.This range includes INA FAG bearings, Challenge power transmission products, WEM electric motors, SEW gear boxes and Uni-Chains products.The courses are aimed at buyers, engineers, technicians, and workshop supervisors and are provided free of charge. "This forms part of our commitment to the industry and the community as a whole by trying to decrease the skills gap that exists," says Rand City Bearings MD Marc Seelenbinder."The academy also underscores our drive to deliver the best possible service to our customers and ensure that they are receiving the most favourable performance from their products," he adds. The courses are two hours in duration and include basic and advanced curriculums. They are conducted by external product specialists from the international suppliers such as FAG and Challenge. Rand City Bearings also organises training courses on-site for customers if required.
